Devin Richard, a Senior Financial Advisor at Frontline Investment Advisors, brings a unique blend of expertise and passion to his role, helping clients navigate their financial journeys with confidence. Originally from Sidney, Ohio, Devin has made Tampa, Florida, his home since 2011.
Devin earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Tampa, majoring in Accounting and minoring in Finance. He furthered his education with a Master of Science in Finance from the same institution. His academic achievements include graduating Summa Cum Laude and being recognized as an Honors Scholar. Additionally, Devin is a proud inductee into the Lehman Catholic High School Hall of Fame.
Devin's career in finance began with an internship at VALIC in 2013, where he was later hired as an administrative assistant to a Senior Advisor while completing his undergraduate studies. Upon graduation, he became a licensed advisor, specializing in working with K-12 employees, particularly those in the Pinellas County School Board. His focus has been on guiding clients through the accumulation phase and transitioning them into the Deferred Retirement Option Program (DROP) and retirement.
Devin's decision to become a financial advisor was driven by his strong passion for teaching and educating. He felt that the K-12 space was underserved when it came to understanding and maximizing retirement benefits. By becoming an advisor, Devin found a way to educate his clients on financial planning and market dynamics while building meaningful relationships. He enjoys helping clients meet their goals and objectives, often sharing with them that their job is to provide the "pieces to the puzzle" that he will help put together.
Devin's expertise lies in the Florida Retirement System, DROP, asset management, investment strategy, tax management, and income replacement. His career milestones include being named Enrollment Advisor of the Year (VALIC 2015), Rookie of the Year (VALIC 2018), and a consistent President Cabinet Member (VALIC 2015-2024).
He currently resides in Odessa with his wife Erin, their daughters Rilynn and Hayden, and their golden retriever Tucker. Outside of work, Devin enjoys a variety of activities, including sports (especially football), snow skiing, golfing, fishing, and spending quality time with his family.
